About EpyLog
EpyLog picks your next book from the movies you love, and runs book clubs that talk about the book while they read it. It is made by John Van Slyke, and you can write to him at hello@epylogapp.com.
How the books are picked
You rate a few movies, or import your history from Letterboxd, Netflix or IMDb. A model reads what you loved and what you didn’t and picks books for the feeling, not the genre, with a reason for each. Every book is checked against a catalog before it is shown to you, so a title that does not exist never reaches your shelf.
The “Books like” pages are written the same way, one film at a time, and each one says whether the film came from a book.
How the club works
Tell it what chapter you’re on. You see your friends’ notes up to that chapter and nothing past it. It sends the reminders and sets the meeting, so no one has to run the club. More about book clubs.
Money
EpyLog is free. Buy links go to Amazon and carry an affiliate tag; as an Amazon Associate, EpyLog earns from qualifying purchases. That is the only money in it. Nothing on the site is sponsored and no book is placed because someone paid for it.
